Learn More about the Event!
Our Annual Community Celebration, held the second weekend of every August, is a large-scale event dedicated to supporting marginalized families during the Back-to-School season. At the heart of the event is our Back-to-School Resource Fair, where children can select new shoes of their choice, along with backpacks, school supplies, books, and clothing–helping them start the school year with confidence and dignity. Throughout the park, families also enjoy a free barbecue, access to community resource vendors, mobile health clinics, and a wide variety of activities including bouncy houses, games, arts and crafts, and live performances. The event features DJs/MCs, raffles, and engaging entertainment designed to create a welcoming, celebratory atmosphere for all ages.

Why It Matters
For many families, back-to-school season brings financial stress. By helping cover the basics, we’re easing that burden and setting kids up for success from day one. Every donation ensures a child walks into school with confidence, dignity, and everything they need to thrive.
